Picayune Maroon Tide, that is. I'd never cheer for Alabama. This weekend, my high school Alma mater will be playing in the state football championship for the first time in 25 years! This is a big deal in the community and the buzz was all around while I was home this past week!
In being hyped and excited about our advancement, I realized that I never learned the fight song in high school. This is insane to me. I knew everything Picayune. So, on our drive back from Hattiesburg on Saturday, I made my cousins teach it to me. Not that I fully remember. But I wanted to at least redeem myself for this embarrassment.
